In 2019 Howard Lubert formed Accelerator Venture Partners GP LLC with the anticipation of creating a number of unique funds to accelerate the growth of early-stage companies located primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and South-East Regions of the United States.  Howard became the Managing Member and General Partner (GP) of the parent entity.  In 2021 Scott MacColl joined AVP as the second GP.

In February of 2020 the AVP 2020 FastTrak Fund LP was created and 14 Limited Partners along with the GP invested $1,025,000 in 10 designated companies that had successfully completed the rigorous due diligence imposed by the two Keiretsu Forum investment groups Howard also manages. The AVP 2021 FastTrak Fund LP was created in February of 2021 and raised $1,200,000.  The Fund made 10 $100,000 investments in Keiretsu portfolio companies and 1 $250,000 investment in the Keiretsu Capital Blockchain Fund of Funds.

In January of 2022 the AVP 2022 FastTrak Fund was created and completed key investments in 10 Keiretsu portfolio companies.  The Fund was also able to negotiate a $250,000 direct investment in the Blockchain Coinvestors Mid-Stage Growth Fund which normally requires a $1m minimum investment.  

In 2022 the AVP GP expanded beyond the Keiretsu member focused FastTrak Funds and began offering investment opportunities to accredited investors from non-Keiretsu angel groups, the creation and management of SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles) for portfolio companies, and began exploring ways to provide funding vehicles for qualified accelerators in the Mid-Atlantic and South-East Regions.

 

The AVP Family of FastTrak Funds are $1M+ annual investment funds focused on early-stage companies that have successfully completed the Keiretsu Forum rigorous due-diligence process. The Funds are an excellent tool for new angel investors looking to quickly diversify their portfolio with the best deal flow across silos and geography.  Unlike most venture funds, the annual AVP FastTrak Fund’s goals are to invest 100% of committed capital in the year that the Fund is created and allow active limited partners in each Fund to join the investment committee.
